Timeout

Due to security reasons, our Gateways have a so-called automatic timeout function. There are 2 kinds of timeouts:

• Landing page timeout

  As soon as the landing page appears, you have 2 minutes to login. In case you can't login in 2 minutes you will have to reenter a new URL (f.ex. http://www.google.ch) in order to get to a new landing page window. Otherwise you get the error message "Session expired".

• Session Timeout

  Maybe you forget to logout from time to time. No worries, our Gateways log you out after a few minutes of inactivity. Alternatively you can go to http://logout.thenet.ch/logout and you get logged out.

Warning: In case you surf over SWITCH PWLAN, a session timeout can last up to 30 minutes.
